Deals with issues related to computation of optical spectra in reciprocal space: RPA, TDDFT, local field effects.

dissociation rate

Post by karimmov » Sun Nov 24, 2019 11:24 am

Dear All,

I want to know if there is a way to calculate the dissociation rate ( or the inverse resonance lifetime). I am working on a 2D material under an applied in- electric field.

Thanks a lot before.

Dear Karimmov,
please sign your posts with your name and affiliation, this is a rule of the forum and you can do once for all by filling it in your user profile.
In Yambo, in principle, it is possible to calculate exciton lifetime (see e.g. Palummo et al. NanoLett 2015), but this development it is not yet present in the GPL release.
Best,
Daniele

Dear Karimmov

have a look to this paper:
https://journals.aps.org/prb/abstract/1 ... .94.041401

probably you can try to fit yambo results with their model to get the dissociation rate

Dear Karimov,
Claudio is right, what I was referring to in my previous post was about radiative lifetime which is not related to what you are asking for.
Best,
Daniele
