Which options is needed for serial compilation of yambo on power6 AIX? I ask this because I think I should have serial compiled yambo near parallel compiled version to do conversion from pwscf to yambo by p2y.

If you have trouble compiling Yambo, please make sure to list:
(1) the compiler (vendor and release: e.g. intel 10.1)
(2) the architecture (e.g. 64-bit IBM SP5)
(3) if the problems occur compiling in serial/in parallel
(4) the version of Yambo (revision number/major release version)
(5) the relevant compiler error message

Re: serial compilation on power6
Dear Ali,
why you want to compile yambo in serial??? you can compile it in parallel and use it
in a serial job with the "-N" option.
Before I was wrong, you can runp2y in parallel!!!! anyway I do not think your problem is related
to the parallelism.
Anyway if you want to compile it in serial, I think you have to add --with-mp=no in the configure option
