yambo runlevel -k doesn't exist

Hi,

I was trying to run a RPA calculation with a hartree kernel as described in the tutorial section. The tutorial asks you to run yambo in the -o runlevel with the c option and then choose the hartree kernel with -k hartree. So essentially you have to run "yambo -o c -k hartree". But when I do that I get the following error message:

yambo: invalid option -- k

This is yambo 3.2.5 rev.1735
Usage: yambo -h -H -J <opt> -V <opt> -F <opt> -I <opt> -O <opt> -C <opt> -N -D -S -M -i -o -t <opt> -c -x -d -b -p <opt> -g <opt> -l -y <opt>
Try `yambo -H' for more information

I am running yambo 3.2.5.rev1735, just in case you missed it up there. Can anyone point me to what may be going wrong?

Thank you so much,

Dear Kopjnol,
the tutorials now refers to the new release of Yambo, where some command lines are changed, with the hope to make them more intuitive.I strongly suggest to update your source with the last release, where also new features are available (see the webpage).
Cheers,

Daniele

Dear Kopinjol,
sorry, I've been too premature. The new source with the new command lines it is not yet public. We will update it very soon. Stay tuned.
In the meanwhile you can continue to use the old commands.
Sorry for the wrong answer,
Cheers,

Daniele

Dear Kopjnol

a new version of Yambo is available in the SVN repository

http://www.yambo-code.org/download.php

anyway it is a developing version, use at your own risk

Hi Claudio,

Is there anywhere I can access the old tutorials? I downloaded the development version from svn but it still doesn't recognize the -k flag. Do you know what may be going on? I really need to run Yambo and need the tutorials for that.

Thanks,
kopinjol

Dear Kopinjol,
the new version has to recognize the new command line. Something is going wrong: try to do things step by step.
Compile the new version 3.4.0, in a different place from the other source:
and be sure you are typing the right option:
http://www.yambo-code.org/doc/runlevels/index.php
For instances, "yambo -o c -k hartree" try to use "yambo -o g -k hartree". If it fails report here exactly yours procedures.
Best,
Daniele
