The strange distribution of exciton wavefunction

You can find here problems arising when using old releases of Yambo (< 5.0). Issues as parallelization strategy, performance issues and other technical aspects.

The strange distribution of exciton wavefunction

Post by Yuan Pang » Wed Mar 16, 2022 1:22 pm

Dear Prof. Daniele

I obtain a strange distribution of exciton wavefunction as figure that follows. I don't know whether this distribution makes sense or more precise k-grid affect this result.

Best,
Pang

Dear Pang,

hard to say anything without more details, anyway yes, the k point sampling affects the localization of the exciton wavefunction.
Best,
Daniele
