Spectra broadening

You can find here problems arising when using old releases of Yambo (< 5.0). Issues as parallelization strategy, performance issues and other technical aspects.

Spectra broadening

Post by siyuchen » Fri Mar 04, 2022 10:20 pm

In Fig 4 of the Ref https://journals.aps.org/prb/abstract/1 ... .83.144115, it says something like "Spectra are shown with a broadening of 0.1 eV (to simulate a typical experimental broadening) and 0.005 eV (in order to investigate the fine structure of the spectrum).

I was wondering what is the corresponding keywords in Yambo for the above broadening parameter. Thanks

Dear Siyu,

the keyword is BDmRange for spectra calculated in BSE.
http://www.yambo-code.org/wiki/index.ph ... s#BDmRange

and DmRngeXd for spectra calculated in G space (RPA).
http://www.yambo-code.org/wiki/index.ph ... s#DmRngeXd

See the link for a descrption.
Best,
Daniele
