switching from yambo 4.3.2 to yambo 4.2.3

Having trouble compiling the Yambo source? Using an unusual architecture? Problems with the "configure" script? Problems in GPU architectures? This is the place to look.

switching from yambo 4.3.2 to yambo 4.2.3

Post by sitangshu » Sun Jul 05, 2020 6:43 pm

Dear Yamboers,

Mistakenly, I did my computations on yambo 4.3.2 but later I realized that I should have done that on 4.2.3 version. The former present some dependencies on mac. Any quick answer on how I can do a ypp-4.2.3 on data done with yambo version 4.3.2 ?

Regards!

Dear Sitangshu,
usually, there is back compatibility with older versions, while format conversion it is not implemented from newer to older.
Anyway, what is the problem you are encountering? Yambo4.2 should already have the new formats.
As a general suggestion, I recommend you to use a newer release of the code as bug fixes enter in the latest releases.
Best,

Daniele
