Segmentation Fault in ypp

Post by jdelliott » Fri May 04, 2018 9:56 am

Dear Yambo Developers,

I am experiencing a segmentation fault when trying to interpolate the band structure with SOC.

I have seen in a previous topic this could be related to a (now fixed) bug:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1370

My question:
I am using the precompiled version of Yambo on Marconi:

[jelliott@r000u07l02 FixSymm]$ module list
...
...
12) yambo/4.2.1

Yet in the output it's written:
GPL Version 4.2.0 Revision 109. (Based on r.10030 h.c8f2c8e)

It is not clear to me, does the precompiled version have the bug fix and the segmentation fault is related to something else?

Thanks for any help

Dear Joshua,
according to what Davide wrote the bug has been fixed in 4.2.1.
Now it seems that Cineca people installed the 4.2.0 even if they named it 4.2.1.
My advice is to compile a more recent version.
In attachemnt a configure script to compile in Marconi.
Just note that if you are using qe6.2 the
--with-p2y-version=qexml
should be changed in:
--with-p2y-version=qexsd

Best,

Daniele
