at this point, we need to reproduce the error and investigate what is happening. The Fermi level is recalculated by Yambo and in principle is not a problem as far as Yambo recognize it as a semiconductor.
In order to do this, an example is needed, and the example possibly should not much expensive in terms of time and size.
