Can yambo compute excitons with an applied electric field?

Post by shan dong » Mon Feb 17, 2020 7:05 am

Dear all,
If I apply an electric field to a system by pwscf( not the direction of light polarization), can yambo continue to calculate the exciton effect(BSE)?

Many thanks~!

Dear Shan Dong

if you apply a saw-like field in the non-periodic directions with QE,
than you can perform calculations with Yambo without problems
