choice of circular polarized light

Post by sitangshu » Sat Feb 25, 2017 7:28 am

Dear Sir,

How should I choose for a left/right circularly polarized light ?
Is this related to setting the flag on : LongDrXp = 1.00000,0.00000,0.00000 for left circularly polarized light (for ppa computation)?

With regards,

Dear Sitangshu,
please try to post your questions in the appropriate subforum, this post is not related to the yambo-py interface.

Th variables LongDirXs, LongDirXd, LongDirXp, (BLongDir in BSE) indicates the direction of the electric field (polarization), "s" is for the static screening, "d" for the dynamical screening, "p" for the PP approximation etc.
Setting this variable you can choose a direction of the field, the polarization will be linear and not circular.

Best,

Daniele
