Dear Kopinjol,
as you can see in the home page of yambo you can access to the 3.4.0 beta version checking out the last snapshot from the svn repository. After the checkout you will have two directory, stable and devel.T
he last revisions are r46 for the stable and r45 for the devel. Please follow the link in the news for instructions on how to access the svn repository.

Best,
Daniele

Hello Danielle,

Thanks for the reply. I downloaded the yambo code from the svn repository and compiled it. But I still keep getting the same error. This is what I typed:

./yambo -o g -k hartree

and this is what I get:

./yambo: invalid option -- k

This is yambo 3.3.0 rev.1887
Usage: yambo -h -H -J <opt> -V <opt> -F <opt> -I <opt> -O <opt> -C <opt> -N -D -S -M -i -o -t <opt> -c -x -d -b -p <opt> -g <opt> -l -y <opt>
Try `yambo -H' for more information

I have been trying to run the first tutorial (http://www.yambo-code.org/tutorials/GW/index.php) and i get the error in the second step of the tutorial when I try to run the cohsex calculation. So I tried simply typing "./yambo -o g -k hartree" and I still keep getting the same error. Here is the error message again:

./yambo: invalid option -- k

This is yambo 3.3.0 rev.1887
Usage: yambo -h -H -J <opt> -V <opt> -F <opt> -I <opt> -O <opt> -C <opt> -N -D -S -M -i -o -t <opt> -c -x -d -b -p <opt> -g <opt> -l -y <opt>
Try `yambo -H' for more information

I will really appreciate any help with this.

thanks again,
kopinjol

Dea Kopinjol,
in your yambo directory you downloaded by svn you should have two directory:
stable and devel. As pointed out in the yambo web-page the 4.0 is a devel version. You should compile and use the devel one if you want to use the 4.0 and use the new command line options (as -k hartree).
Cheers,

Daniele
