How to set the direction of light polarization

Post by WEIW » Sat Oct 16, 2021 9:43 am

Dear Daniele,
I want to change the direction of light when calculating the absorption spectrum of the 2D materials.
Can this parameter LongDrXs be used to modify the direction of the light?
For example, a 45° deflection around the x-axis is (1 1 0)of LongDrXs.

Best regards,
Liu

Dear Liu,
yes that's correct.
Note that LongDrXs is for the static screening, while for dynamical response (absorption) you should use LongDrXd.
In BSE calculation the variable for the absorption is BLongDir.

Best,
Daniele
